Meet the Music Therapists

  • Martha Nicholls - Music Therapist

    Martha is a music therapist who works mainly with children and adolescents with SEMH and SEND.

    Since qualifying from the University of Roehampton in 2023, Martha has worked in alternative provision, SEN schools, mainstream primary schools and children's homes.

    She plays piano, alto saxophone, guitar and sings, and loves the open-ended nature of music therapy and the spontaneous music that can be created in the safe space.

    Martha is leading our 3-10 year old group on Saturday mornings. 

  • Imogen Dyer - Music Therapist

    Imogen trained as a music therapist at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and qualified in 2018.

    Imogen has experience in music therapy, music education and arts administration. She has worked in school and community settings with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

    She also works in adult mental health settings for the NHS. Imogen has a particular interest in working systemically with families and organisations.

  • Josh Considine - Music Therapist

    Josh is a trained music therapist who completed his MA in Music Therapy at the University of Roehampton and graduated in 2023.

    He is a singer, a piano, guitar and cello player who has worked as a performer and music teacher since 2012. He has experience in working with young adults with learning disabilities, including profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) and autism.

    Josh has a keen interest in mental health and is passionate about the impact that music-making can have on people’s well-being, something he believes should be accessible to everyone.

    Josh runs the face to face 17-25 year old age group that takes place every second Saturday of the month.

  • Emily Raiher - Music Therapist

    Emily is an experienced HCPC registered Music Therapist and received her Masters in Music Therapy at Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2018.

    She has experience in specialist work with children with special educational needs and disabilities, adolescents and people living with dementia.

    She has composed for the Eden Project and performed as a vocalist with a range of contemporary artists having trained at the Royal Academy of Music and later at Salford University.

  • Rachel McGregor - Music Therapist

    Rachel qualified as a music therapist from the University of Roehampton in 2025 and has experience in SEND and mainstream schools and CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services).

    She is also a qualified teacher, working across early years and primary settings within mainstream schools and additionally resourced provisions.

    Rachel sings, plays piano, guitar and recorder and is a keen director and performer with a choir and drama group. She loves the way music can connect and build relationships and is passionate about inclusive practice and creating opportunities for music-making for all.

    Rachel runs the 3-10 year old group on Saturday mornings.

  • Munraj Matharoo - Music Therapist

    Munraj is a London-based Music Therapist with a background in classical and contemporary music.

    He holds a BMus from King's College London, an MA in Composition for Film from Kingston University, and recently completed an MA in Music Therapy at the University of Roehampton. His therapeutic approach is person-centred, trauma-informed, and rooted in collaborative care.

    He has worked across NHS and educational settings, including the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability, where he used Neurologic Music Therapy (NMT) to support adults with acquired brain injuries, and the Cheyne Child Development Service, contributing to multidisciplinary assessments for children with complex developmental needs. His experience also includes SEN schools, community services, and early intervention work.

     Alongside clinical practice, Munraj works as a freelance music therapist, educator, and breathing coach. He delivers community-based breathing and music programmes with Voices of Hope, supports neurodivergent students in mainstream education, and teaches music privately to students of all ages. He is passionate about using music to foster communication, emotional expression, and wellbeing.

  • Anna Young - Music Therapist

    Anna is a qualified music therapist who trained at the University of Roehampton.

    She brings therapeutic experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

    Anna is passionate about her work and the power of music therapy to connect, improve well-being and empower.

    Alongside her music therapy work, she is also a dedicated classically trained musician and creative instrumental teacher.

    Anna will be facilitating the 11-18 year old music therapy group at In-Deep."
