As the world tackles Covid-19 our response and support has focused on ways in which we can continue with the important work we do while protecting the vulnerable and delivering vital services, many in the community could not do without. We work closely with the agencies such, NHS, social prescribers, housing agencies and the council.

We have done this in a number of ways, through improving the quality of social health, transitioning from befriending home visits to running our telephone befriending and penpal scheme. Improving the quality of health services, through delivering healthy lunches, dinners and Christmas hampers, instead of in person events.
We made sure that all deliveries done by volunteers take place with full observation of the 2 meter social distancing rules, mask wearing, as well as hand washing and sanitising after every visit. This is a lifeline to many who were isolating and unable to see people week after week. The regular contact with us has made all the difference.
